• Data, that define products characteristics (geometry, structure, functionality, materials, costs, etc.)
• Applications that render products' characteristics and offer various product views to the development teams
• Processes and workflows that help organize the development cycle and collaboratively support teams with diverse needs and goals
• Knowledge, which is the backbone of the methodology
